The Skimm

  • A story about humanity at its best, set the aftermath of one of the worst moments in American history. Everybody born prior can remember where they were and what they were doing when it happened or when they heard about the events of 9/11. Newfoundland. 38 planes diverted. 7000 passengers stranded. Numerous human stories unfold and issues like diversity, race, equality are touched on in a thoughtful way, exiting audiences young and seasoned alike.
  • If the music does not make you tap and want to dance, there may be little hope for you 😉 Irish influences, lot’s of rhythm and great melodies. The atmosphere in the theatre after the opening “Welcome to the Rock” is electric. My teenage daughter’s favorite definitely was “Me And The Sky”, an inspiration not only for for every woman sung by the character portraying Beverly Bass, the first female captain of an American Airlines commercial plane.
